SAMPL. Logo Guidelines

SAMPL. is a powerful, minimalistic brand. As such, the logo has only two varieties. Version A, pictured below, is a simple black box with the word ‘SAMPL.’ in it. Version B is the inverted version of version A.

Which logo is used is based on the background on which it is placed. As a rule of thumb: Always use version A. If the background is too dark, and the contrast is compromised, use version B.

SAMPL. uses three important elements to communicate its brand.

The first element is the word ‘SAMPL.’ where the ‘e’ is missing and replaced by a dot. The font used is the Rift. The logo specifically uses the Bold version. Do not use the ‘.’ of the Rift.

The second element is the brand box which encompasses the entirety of the logo. The width of the box is the M in ‘SAMPL.’ placed on both sides. The height of the box is twice the M above and below the word ‘SAMPL.’.

The third element is the dot in ‘SAMPL.’ Please look at the image to the left. The dot is actually the box, but scaled down to the height of the terminal of the ‘L’ (Y in the picture above). It is placed the same distance away as the distance between the ‘P’ and the  ‘L’ (X in the picture above).

These three elements determine the power of the logo. Simple and powerful. Below you can see what is not allowed when placing the logo.

Incorrect ways of using the Logo

A: The logo is used without box.

B: The logo is a different colour than white.

C: The box is a different colour than black.

D: The logo is not placed in the center of the box.

E: The contrast is compromised, the white variant must be used.

F: The ‘.’ of the Rift is used, which makes it a bit larger than it should be. It should be the box, but scaled down.
